MEGLA and German Edge Cloud (GEC) have entered into a partnership to support manufacturing companies on their path towards data‑driven, intelligent factories. Together, the two companies enable the structured use of shopfloor data and the stable operation of digital production solutions within operating manufacturing environments.
At the core of the collaboration is the combination of the ONCITE Digital Production System (DPS) from GEC and MEGLA’s OT/IT integration and operational expertise. While ONCITE DPS consolidates and contextualises production data from machines, equipment and existing systems, MEGLA is responsible for integration into existing production landscapes and operation as a managed service.
This approach addresses key challenges in modern manufacturing environments: heterogeneous system landscapes, increasing transparency requirements, for example in energy, CO₂ or traceability, and the need for solutions that deliver value not only in pilot projects but perform reliably in day‑to‑day plant operations.
“Our customers are not looking for pilot projects, but for results that stand up in real operations. With GEC as our platform partner, we can now offer the full journey: integration, AI enablement and managed services from a single source,” says Stefan Weskamp, Managing Director of MEGLA.
The partnership strengthens MEGLA’s portfolio in production digitalisation, industrial data architectures and industrial AI, providing customers with a robust foundation for scalable digital production solutions.
